Nimby Forum® is an applied research project whose aim is to analyze the evolution of the NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) syndrome on environmental issues in Italy.
The construction of power plants, waste treatment facilities or major public works often raises local opposition, whic may cause enormous delays or project cancellation. Through is Permanent Media Observatory, Nimby Forum® identifies and classifies all those cases, which are reported by national press articles.

Starting from analysis of its database and organizing periodic meetings with all the stakeholders (local and national institutions, associations, companies), the Forum identifies the most effective ways to promote and develop dialogue and communication at local levels, in order to manage and reduce conflicts.

Nimby Forum® is the only NIMBY syndrome database in Italy and is recognized as the most important national think tank on the subject.

The blog Energia Spiegata is an editorial space aimed at creating an enlarged and heterogeneous community on energy-related issues, based on the fact that the web is now a true pluralistic and independent information source and a virtual meeting point.
